Don't you need to have insurance to do work in peoples homes like duct cleaning? If something goes wrong and you break their duct or their dryer catches fire the following week, you could get sued right?
Also, yes, NYC only 1%will have W/D in their apartment. But New York State has plenty if houses in it, so this would be a great way to make extra cash…but it is a pretty litigious place, so I wonder what you think about that aspect.

During the pandemic, there was a bunch of these ads on the service on nextdoor and fb marketplace. ALOTTTT OF SCAMMERS that would either grab the “deposit” and run or clean the “ducts” that were high up where youd need a ladder because they know the owners arent willing to quality check their work.
Basically, if i tried doing this in my area, itd be difficult to get new customers since theres alot of distrust. You could build your reputation but still alot more groundwork to get to that if youre in an area thats been hit hard by scammers
